What changed
Releases of the SDK and this site, newest first. Each entry is a release tag in the public repository, so this page and the code cannot disagree.
Managed channels in every agent, storage you can lock, steadier WebRTC
A channel's owner can now decide exactly which agents may join it: register each agent's name with its own key, and the channel admits no one else. The web, Python, Java and C++ agents all send the optional agentKey with connect (in C++, call MessagingChannelApi::setAgentKey before connecting). Channels without keys work exactly as before. See "Managed Channels" in the user guide.
Channel storage can lock a key: the first add with appendOnly makes it a log nobody can overwrite or delete. Every stored version now names the session that wrote it (writtenBy), and storageReadEntries returns those details. A failed storage call carries the server's reason in statusMessage and httpStatus.
WebRtcHelper now brings a broken connection back by itself, first by restarting ICE and then by rebuilding the connection, and restarts streams when a phone wakes up or changes network. replaceStream switches between camera and screen on the same connection. TURN credentials now expire and are renewed during long calls. The C++ agent's connect response carries the STUN and TURN servers the platform hands out.
Every demo opens with one join screen: a twelve-digit room code to share, a waiting room for whoever opened the room, and the full channel form under Advanced. Chat, Call, Drop, Whiteboard, Chess, Air Hockey, Gavel, Evidence Chain and Under the Hood gained new features, and the multiplayer ones now check who really sent a message before acting on it. The Pulse demo was removed; Evidence Chain now shows storage with history.
Fixed: in a chat room, the second person to join can speak first. A chat line typed while the previous one is still sending is no longer wiped.
release-2026-10-18 on GitHubFaster pages, a clearer Demos page, a live home page
Fonts are now served from this site and preloaded, so pages show sooner and text no longer jumps when a font arrives.
The Demos page shows the SDK call each demo teaches, says whether a demo works alone or wants a second person, opens its source on GitHub, and links each demo to the product built on it. Product pages link back to their open demo.
The home page shows who else is reading it, live, through one shared channel.
The Docs page scrolls like the rest of the site, with a sidebar that stays in reach.
Fixed: a client that joined a room moments before its host left now reports the handover (host_lost telemetry).
