About
HMDev builds the Messaging Platform.
Realtime infrastructure for developers: messaging, presence, shared state and WebRTC through one SDK and a managed backend, plus the apps and games that run on it. The platform is in public beta.
Who we are
The name on the domain and on every package.
HMDev is the developer behind the Messaging Platform. It runs the site at hmdevonline.com, operates the hosted service the SDKs connect to, and publishes the SDK in the open on GitHub.
When the terms and the privacy policy speak of "the project operator", this is who they mean.

One HMDev account signs you in to every HMDev app, game and this site, with an email and password or with Google. The same account opens the Developer Portal through Continue with Google, but only for an email that already has developer access; API keys stay behind their own developer session.
What the platform is
Six primitives. One connection.
Browsers, servers, AI agents and games on one channel. A WebSocket with an HTTP fallback, and peer-to-peer media with TURN handled.
- MessagingBroadcast to a room, address one person, or send fast-changing state.
- PresenceJoins, leaves, who hosts, and who takes over.
- Shared stateStored on the channel for whoever joins later.
- FilesBrowser to browser, in chunks, checked on arrival.
- CallsVideo and audio over WebRTC; the media flows peer to peer.
- ProofA hash-chained log with signed receipts.
Built on it
We use what we sell.
The apps and games below run on the same channels the SDK gives you.
